St. Francis Ministry Mission Appeal July 25-26, 2026
Our mission is to provide education and other basic needs for orphans/poor children in Kenya. We hope to empower them with quality education and the skills necessary to be independent and positive contributors in their families and in their communities. In rural areas children want to go to school but are unable due to extreme poverty. It is worse for girls who are taken as care takers of family needs; laundry; walk 5 to 10 km in search of water and firewood for cooking; do heavy manual get money for their families. Those who are lucky to be in school find it hard to do their homework, due to lack of electricity. The only option for them is a small burning lamp or life fire flames, which is a big risk. Thus, our Ministry took the challenge of building a boarding school to provide a safe learning environment for such children, and a place they are encouraged to work very hard on their studies in order to unlock the chains of poverty deterring their quality of life. Can one imagine $600 is enough to pay a whole year school fees for one child? All are welcome to take this challenge, as a means of giving back to God, who has given us so much without measure; plus dying on the cross for us, so that we can have life and have it in full! Thank you friends for your generosity. May God give you back double of what you give. You and your loved ones will be remembered in our prayers. God bless.Love and prayers, Sr. Anisia Muthoni
