We give because God first gave to us.

We are incredibly grateful to each of you who supports our parish financially. We are each richly blessed by God with gifts to share so that we might do our part to realize His grand plan for us, and our brothers and sisters in Christ.   Your generosity enables us to continue to build our Catholic faith here and in our community.

God calls us to live generously in response to all that He has given for us.

"Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you."

    • Online Giving

Resurrection Parish is now offering additional electronic giving options to help support the parish.  With our parish online giving portal, Resurrection allows you to make gifts to both our regular weekend offertory, special collections and Diocesan collections. Flexible options for giving frequency and setting payment dates add to the convenience.

    • Please consider joining our online donors!

    • We'll say it again--Thank You! All gifts make a difference, and your generosity and continued support of Resurrection is most appreciated.
    • Thank You!

Resurrection offers many giving opportunities through our online platform where you can help the parish continue its service to our families, to maintain and improve our facilities and to support Diocesan programs that benefit local, national and global communities.

By sharing your gifts with our parish, you not only affirm your Gospel commitment to build the Kingdom of God here in Pike Creek Valley, but you are also bearing witness that our parish is a place of love and charity, where gifts are not only shared, but multiplied.

May God richly bless you for sharing your gifts so freely.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    • What is Online Giving?
      • Online Giving is an easy and convenient way to support Resurrection Parish. The benefits of online giving include the convenience of being able to give from anywhere at any time that's best for you, not having to write checks, and the ability to set up recurring donations so you don't miss an opportunity to give while you are away. And, because you may set up donations to both regular offertory and second collections, there are no need for envelopes.

    • What payment methods are accepted on the website or mobile app?
      • Parishioners can give using direct withdrawal from checking and savings accounts or credit or debit cards, giving you more payment options. This reduces Resurrection’s need to process your paper checks.

    • Is it Secure?
      • Vanco Payment Solutions is the service provider. Vanco Payment Solutions is a financial services company who already provides these same services to thousands of other churches.

Together, we take protecting the security and privacy of all our donor’s payment information and transactions very seriously. That’s why Vanco utilizes the most advanced technology and follows the most stringent guidelines to ensure all your information remains secure. As part of Vanco’s comprehensive security and privacy safeguards, they only collect the pertinent information required to perform your payment transactions. And, that information is stored in Vanco’s secure system and only used when needed to fulfill your requests and services.

Vanco reviews the security measures and policies continuously to ensure they adapt seamlessly to any changes in technology or the business environment.

    • What about second collections?
      • Our system allows you to make gifts to both our regular weekend offertory and our second collections. Additional parish collections may be added to our website so you can check back often. Flexible options for giving frequency and setting payment dates add to the convenience.

    • What are “processing fees” and who pays them?
      • Processing fees are the fees that online giving providers charge Resurrection for utilizing their service to provide automated giving options. You are able help offset the cost of the convenience fee charged to the Parish by checking the box that says, “I would like to help offset the processing fees associated with online giving.” on the checkout page.

The amount of the processing fee varies according to whether the donation is provided via a checking or savings account bank transfer or using a credit/debit card.  The most fee efficient way to make monthly contributions to the Parish is through ACH, directly from a checking or savings account, as it avoids credit card fees.

    • Do I still need to use envelopes?
      • Think of our new online giving system as a virtual collection basket. Once you set up recurring donations for your regular offertory and second collections, there is no longer a need to use envelopes.  In fact, you can cancel your envelopes by emailing [email protected].

    • Do I have to use the Online Giving platform?
      • Although we encourage everyone to take advantage of the convenience of online giving, you may make your gifts to Resurrection Parish in any way you wish.   Checks and cash with or without an envelope are appreciated.  We gratefully accept all gifts and thank you for your generosity.

    • How do I get started?
      • Online giving is easy to use.  From Resurrection’s website, resurrectionde.org, you can click on Online Giving to get to the Giving page.  Select DONATE button which takes you from the parish website to a secure donation page hosted by Vanco Payment Solutions.  The donation page lists funds that support Resurrection and the Diocese. You may give to any or all funds during one session, making it convenient to set-up your donations.

You may wish to save your profile by creating a password.   This will enable you to access your account and make changes to existing recurring donations or change your method of payment.

Click here to see a step by step guide.

NOTE:  IF YOU CREATE A NEW ONLINE VANCO ACCOUNT, PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] TO CANCEL YOU OLD ACCOUNT.

    • I don’t remember if I have a profile. What do I do?
      • The easiest way to determine if you have a profile is to reset your password on your church’s Vanco Online giving page. To reset your password, click the login button in the upper right-hand corner of your church’s Vanco Online giving page. Enter your email address and click next. Once you are on the screen where it asks you to enter your password, click the “Forgot password” button. If your email address is registered to a Vanco account, you’ll receive an email asking you to reset your password. If you do not receive an email from Vanco, then you do not have an account.

    • I can’t remember my username or password. What do I do?
      • With your church’s new Vanco Online giving page, your username is your email address.

    • I already use automatic withdrawal for my donations. What should I do?
      • We encourage everyone to take advantage of the convenience of online giving by creating an account that provides the flexibility of making changes from home. If you currently have a Vanco account and do not wish to make any changes, you do not need to do anything at this time.

However, in the future, to make any changes, you will need to create an account on the secure website.

NOTE:  IF YOU CREATE A NEW ONLINE VANCO ACCOUNT, PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] TO CANCEL YOUR OLD ACCOUNT.   This avoids any duplications in recurring donations.

    • What if I want to make changes to my donation or need to stop a recurring donation?
      • Once you create an account, you will be able to review your donations, make changes, or update your payment account information online.

Once you are logged in, click on the profile icon in the upper righthand corner. From the left-hand menu, select transactions and click edit on any upcoming scheduled donations. Use the drop-down boxes to edit your existing transaction to your new desired frequency, amount or payment method.
    • How do I change my payment method?
      • To add a new payment method to your Vanco profile, complete a new donation or payment with your preferred payment method. On the payment method page there will be a box that you can check to save this method for future use. To remove an existing payment method, you can visit payment methods under your profile and remove the specific payment method.

    • Can I give using my mobile phone?
      • Yes, you may donate using any device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or phone).  Give using your Apple iPhone or Android phone using the Vanco Mobile App that can be downloaded from your Apple App Store or  Google Play store.  Our parish is listed as Resurrection Parish in Wilmington, Delaware.  The mobile user interfaces are slightly different but offer the same functionality as a desk or laptop computer.

    • Will I receive a receipt indicating that I donated to Resurrection?
      • A confirmation page appears after a donation is submitted.  Print the confirmation page as proof of the donation.  In addition, a confirmation email is sent if a valid email address is provided when completing the donation.

If you would like a year-end statement for tax purposes, it is necessary to create a profile account. This enables Resurrection to link your generous contribution to the parish data system, which generates the annual giving statement.

    • How can I see my giving history?
      • Click the login button in the upper right corner of your church’s Vanco Online giving page. Enter your email address and password. Once you’re logged in, navigate to transactions under your profile. From here you can see upcoming scheduled gifts under scheduled or switch to history to see your giving history.
